Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the personal website shimanski.dev (the “Site”), operated by Artyom Shimanski, handles information. The products and apps linked from this Site each run on their own domains and have their own privacy policies – this policy covers only the Site itself.

Information I collect

The Site is a static website with no accounts, no sign-ups, and no advertising trackers. The only personal data I receive directly is what you choose to send me – for example, if you email me, I receive your email address and the contents of your message so I can reply. In addition, only if you consent, the Site uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (see “Analytics” below).

Hosting & server logs

The Site is served by a third-party hosting provider. Like virtually all web hosts, it may automatically record standard technical information (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) in server logs for security, diagnostics, and reliability. This data is not used to identify you personally.

Fonts & third parties

The Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. When fonts load, your browser contacts Google's servers, which may receive your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. The Site links out to external products and social profiles; once you follow such a link, the destination's own privacy policy applies.

Analytics

With your consent, the Site uses Google Analytics 4, a web-analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Site – for example, which pages are viewed and roughly where traffic comes from. To do this, Google Analytics sets cookies and may process your IP address; the data is used in aggregate to help me improve the Site and is not used to personally identify you.

The analytics script and its cookies load only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. Before you choose, or if you decline, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your choices & rights” below). You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on, and read how Google handles this data in Google's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

The Site sets no cookies until you consent. If you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets a small number of analytics cookies (used to tell sessions and returning visitors apart). If you decline, no cookies are set. Your accept/decline choice itself is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage), not in a cookie, so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit.

Your choices & rights

You control analytics. You can decline in the cookie banner, or withdraw consent later by clearing this site's stored data in your browser – that resets your choice, so the banner appears again and you can decline. Beyond optional analytics, the Site collects no personal data on its own, so there is generally nothing else to access or delete. For any message you've sent me directly, you can ask me to update or delete it at any time – just get in touch.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
